Balance is elusive and comes and goes – in my yoga postures and within my life! I still come to my mat each day in hopes of being rewarded with great balance. I calm myself through my breath. With a smiling and gentle and determined face, I look into my eyes and deeper into my soul, and from my place of energy, I draw positive, focused, balanced energy up my entire spine, through my entire body, and radiate it out as far as I can. I visualize and sense strong, stable, and agile roots penetrating from my feet deep into the earth, grounding me on my mat. I allow my breath to carry each movement, Breathing in to lift, Breathing out to express. This methodical, focused effort has significantly improved my balance – within my yoga postures, but more illustriously, throughout all aspects of my life.
