Hatha yoga, the physical yoga, is a moving meditation that helps to discipline the mind. Everyone has chitter-chatter that goes on in the head – yoga helps quiet this chatter – and eventually eliminates the chatter. I am dedicated to yoga because my practice has transformed my life, touching every aspect of my being – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. My practice has helped me become more calm, balanced, healthy, spiritual, self-less, determined, flexible, strong, open, and focused. I encourage everyone I meet to try yoga. Often, I hear that someone is not flexible enough for yoga. Not many people who are new to yoga can claim flexibility – you become flexible (physically, mentally, emotionally) by practicing! I’ve also heard that someone isn’t the right type of person for yoga – there is no “type” – yoga practitioners come in all shapes, sizes, colors, backgrounds, temperaments, etc. Yoga is life transformative – it is a way to go inward and learn, heal, grow and find your higher self and higher purpose. I encourage you to try yoga today!
