Yoga Increases Circulation of Lymph…

In addition to arteries and veins, there is a third system of vessels that circulates fluid throughout the body. That system carries lymph, a fluid rich in lymphocytes and other immune-system cells. The lymph system fights infection, kills rogue cancer cells, and disposes some toxic waste. The lymphatic vessels lack muscles to push and pull the fluid, and when you contract and stretch muscles, move organs around, and come in and out of yoga postures, you are aiding flow of lymph fluid and increasing your lymphatic system functioning.
